Lend but do not borrow. It's a commandment of the Jewish people.

Lend but do not borrow.

It's a commandment of the Jewish people.

The Jews have been hated (and mass murdered) for their ability to hoard money and loan money. This aspect of them was central to the Nazi depiction of the Jews. And the Nazi's didn't invent this, it was a wider negative description across Europe.

Jew as banker or speculation market business man. That stereotype is more than a description, it is a COMMANDMENT from God. I don't know why or how Christian heritage societies manage to ignore this in their own Old Testament:

Deuteronomy 15:6 For the LORD your God will bless you, as he promised you, and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow, and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.

Lend but do not borrow.

It's a commandment of the Jewish people. If you are a believer in that God, praise the behavior. If you are not a believer in that God, at least don't be surprised, it is a central mandate for these people from their God.
