REVELATION 13:11-18
The Second Beast
11 Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. 12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. 13 It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, 14 and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. 16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, 17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. 18 This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.
Theological Hypothesis: Islam was a Wall, that Kept the Spread of the Gospel Within Europe
The New Testament is full of titles that tell us the initial trajectory of the spread of Christianity. "Ephesians", "Corinthians" are points on the map heading north towards Europe. One of Paul's primary goals is to reach Gaul.
The Rise of Islam on a map, and it's eventual strongholds, if drawn on a map, look very much like a wall to the south and southeast of Europe.
I am saying that it was a wall, and designed to do just exactly what it did in reality:
- Kept Christianity from spreading via long standing maritime trade corridors from the Middle East to Southeast Asia, and consequently all of the Far East.
- The "Dark Ages" of Europe were a result of being walled off from the world, leading to less new information from the world, and more infighting amongst themselves.
I am saying Islam was the creation of an old arch enemy evil spirit that opposed God and created misery in the form of child sacrifice - Baal. Islam's first moments of practice by Muhammad employed the practices of worshipping Hubaal, the local diety. There is more than ample evidence and extrapolation Allah worship is a re-labelled Hubaal worship. Hubaal is just the old Baal spirit as it migrated south into the more southern Arabian peninsula away from the more progressive and humane Hellenistic/Jewish culture of the Roman Mediterranean.
Snapping to contemporary times. It has been strange that since World War II in Western discourse it stopped being cool to discuss the association of slavery, murderous violence, and rape that the Quran presents as virtues, and the Islamic world has an overabundance of recorded instances. The New World bought it's slaves from Islamic slave markets. The Quran dictates that it is permissable to rape non-Muslim captors. Muslims believe slavery is entirely virtuous when the slaves are non-Muslim. The "terrorists" of our era are not Muslims who have become pathologocal monsters and no longer a proper Muslim. The Muslim who are terrorists are more closely following the Quran, and obeying their Allah.
Their Baal.
...and it is strange the West since the 1960s made it a social norm to blind itself to this known history. To make it unfashionable to speak or write about it. It is almost like Baal was influencing the West on another channel. It is coincidence during this time that abortion became a thing. Parents killing their babies. The very main thing Baal did in ancient times.
