A Possible Insertion of Baal into the role of God in Christianity

I've discovered something possibly very important: the moment Baal replaced God in Christian theology and worship.

Personally I don't think of it as a real spirit or diety called Baal doing anything. I mean the mindset of the worshippers of Baal in pre-Roman Canaan. As I explain in When Hebrews Diverged from Canaanite Child Sacrifice near all Canaanites believed in a weather god which was harsh and needed appeasing with child sacrifice. He was a hateful God, that might deny the blessing of good weather (for water supply) if the population didn't give up some of it's children. I have two links below to subsection content of same blog entry pertaining to this. I believe the evil is in the belief and the believers. It is first of all murderous, and secondly it seems to spawn several kinds of socially sanctioned perversities.

Please watch the first three minutes of the following video. Here is the essential idea that is so important:

While ancient philosophy disagreed on many things, there was broad agreement that the gods were good and the universe a beautiful, divinely made home. However, by the 2nd century CE a scandalous, renegade position emerged that argued that physical reality was created as a cosmic prison by a demonic Crafter - The Demiurge. Variously known as Ialdabaoth, Samael and Saklas, the malevolent Demiurge was one of the core components of what we know call "Gnosticism." But how did this shift happen, how did the Demiurge become evil. In this first episode in a series on the Demiurge, we explore the earliest movement in this direction: (1) the origins of the Demiurge in Plato and (2) How the Israelite god Yahweh came to be demonized and associated with the Egyptian demonic deity Seth in the anti-Judaic polemics of the ancient world.

What if this new wave of theological/philosophical fashion was a literal insertion of the very mindset God had fought to purge from his people, and really, from the world? The Romans had just purged Phoenician cultural practices from the Mediterranean. All the cosmologies of every Pagan, Judaic and Christian sect were saying the Universe was an optimal good place for humanity. Then along comes this new fashion of thinking that saw an angry maker and hostile environment for humankind. I think there is a Baal in there somewhere, and I think this poison nurtured and created the eventual Catholic Church.

In the time of this blog post, the Catholic Church's Pope is on the side of Palestinians, and has promoted a steady stream of Marxist and Leftist values since assuming the role of pontiff. Beyond just this pontiff, South American Catholicism has generated much of intellectual/ethical bedrock for liberation theology, which is a Hitleresque hatred for wealthy people recycled into Jesus packaging. Since October 7th these forces and others all aligned very overtly and loudly proclaimed their overlap or outright alliance with murdering Palestinians. Evil is proudly flying it's flag. Watch the video for a hint to when it snuck into Christianity. Remarks on October 7th 2023
